A Tribute to Dr. Sandra Montano-Yamat

I am glad and thankful for the opportunity to have known and worked with the very talented, Dr. Sandra Montano-Yamat. I got to know Sandy well as we worked together for FAAWIS and the singing group, TINIGBAYAN. Our work together will soon come to an end, however, when the Yamat family moves to Tacoma, Washington in August.
     Without persuasion, Dr. Montano readily committed to being one of the committee members of this year’s FAAWIS Youth Group. She actively participated in the planning of the youth activities and strongly supported our programs.
    I am most grateful for her generosity and for all the assistance she has given both to me and to FAAWIS this year. I would also like to thank Vanessa, Sandy’s eldest daughter, for having been an active member of the youth and dance group.
     Thank you very much, Sandy!! You are part of the success of our youth programs. Best wishes to you, Manny, Vanessa, and Tina as you build a new life in your new home. You will be missed in Milwaukee.
