FAAWIS Goes Country "Cowboy" Annual Picnic
June 9, 2016
Wirth Park, Brookfield, WI

Yee Haw!! Another FAAWIS picnic is down in the books, thanks to our wonderful chairperson Dr. Marie Abraham-Rebancos and her well-appointed committee. In case you missed it, this year we had a cowboy theme, and there was an abundance of fringe, plaid shirts, and cowboy hats and boots!

The picnic started with a Mass officiated by Fr. Jojo Orosa and Fr. Alan Krueger. Thank you to them and the FCM choir for adding their voices to the celebration. The Mass was followed by an abundance of Filipino and American dishes in true family-style.

The highlight of the afternoon was the performances by the Munting Tinig Choir, and dance performances by the Hot Lips Dancers,  Bakalz Girls and the Philippine  Dance Troupe all the way from the Fox Cities.

Then came fun games for the children and adults, including cut-throat musical chairs and tug-of-war. Of course, the traditional volleyball tournament was going on, thanks to Patrick Moloney! Congratulations to all the lucky winners, especially the Saraspe Family!

If you weren’t there, you really missed out on a fun filled day. Special thanks to Dr. Marie Rebancos and the whole hardworking  picnic committee, Maria and Derick Yumang, Renee Mondano and Leo Vitangcol, Patrick Moloney, Jojo Ramos and Dr. Violeta Singson, the board members, the food servers, and everyone who came out and supported us during the picnic! Our apologies if we have inadvertently omitted to mention anyone by name who helped contribute to this year's Picnic.
